Meet the 2020 Ambassadors

Delaynie Childers | Eufaula, Alabama

I’ve loved archery ever since my brother introduced me to it five years ago. Archery is very peaceful to me and it’s a great way to meet new people and create amazing friendships. I love sharing my passion with new and younger archers.

In today’s busy world, archery is an amazing way to disconnect from electronics and reconnect with the outdoors. I’m honored to have been selected as a 2020 arcHER Ambassador and look forward to seeing you all on the range!

Stacy Laviana | Chatsworth, Georgia

“My name is Stacy Laviana. I am honored to be a 2020 ArcHER Ambassador. I shoot in Women’s K40. Archery is my sport, my passion and I am addicted!!! The best thing about archery is the people. I absolutely love meeting new people on the ASA Sims range, team shoots and on stake. Some of my best memories in life are smiling and laughing with archery friends at the ASA’s! I like to chit chat and I LOVE to talk about archery. Anytime you have questions about archery, I will be glad to help. Just remember, believe in yourself, trust your shot and have confidence in everything you do! Don’t be afraid to give up the good to go for the great! ARCHERY IS THE COOLEST SPORT ON EARTH!

Robin Greer | Paducah, Kentucky

“I am actually fairly new to archery. Although I grew up hunting and with a tremendous love for the outdoors, I never held a bow in my hands until about four years ago. I married my husband, Jamie Greer, in late 2014. He decided he was ready to get re-involved in archery after taking a few years off for medical reasons. After purchasing him a new bow in August 2015 I decided, “hey…I can do that!!” So I purchased my very first bow a month later and never looked back!! There is no way I could have imagined the passion and excitement that I would experience from this wonderful sport!! The fun, the amazing people, the time spent with my husband and friends..the Blessings are immeasurable!!

I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to begin the 2020 season and how honored I am to be an arcHER Ambassador with such an amazing group of ladies!! This is gonna be an amazing year!!

Olivia Hay | Rockford, Alabama

“I’m Olivia Hay and I’ve been shooting competitive archery since 2015. To me, archery is not just a hobby, it’s my passion! I don’t know what I would do if God didn’t bless me with this amazing opportunity! He has blessed me in so many ways! He has also given me the opportunity to be an ArcHER Ambassador! I love how arcHER brings a spotlight to women of the sport! I am so super excited about it too! As years have passed, many arcHERs have helped me through situations that I thought I was never going to get out of. They have been so supportive and willing to help and I look forward to keeping that tradition going and an arcHER Ambassador. I can’t wait for the 2020 season! See you on the range!”

Laura Humberson | Mansfield, Ohio

“I’ve been shooting since 2011. I love the way that archery provides a shooter with the determination, focus, confidence, and discipline that grows the archer’s character. It is an outlet that is completely individualized and the results come strictly from one’s own dedication to the sport. The archery community is a second family to all, and the relationships and connections made are lifelong. To me, arcHER means empowerment. arcHER empowers women within the sport and gives them a connection that might not have been made without the existence of arcHER. I could not have more respect for the ladies involved with arcHER and what they do to support the archery community, especially the women and youth in the sport. They encourage all archers, no matter what age or experience level, and provide them with the opportunity to gain knowledge and engagement within the archery community.”

Debi Martin | Vicksburg, Mississippi

“I have always been an avid hunter and lover of the outdoors. However, I did not start shooting archery until I married my husband. He bought me my first bow in 2011 and I have been hooked ever since. I am very fortunate to be involved with several great organizations that promote the sport of archery. Since 2012, I have had the privilege of traveling all over the United States teaching archery instruction to women. I take great pride in being a positive role model on and off the range and I am honored to serve as an arcHER Ambassador. Being an arcHER Ambassador is a very important part of my life. Promoting the sport of archery through education and participation is my way of setting a good example for fellow archers. “

Rhonda Waits | VanCleave, Mississippi

“Archery, hunting and 3D shooting, is my passion hobby!! I love being outdoors and time behind the stick and string brings inner focus, discipline and relaxation to a busy schedule as wife, Momma to two children and a management executive for a real estate developer. I am honored to return to the 2020 3D season serving as an ArcHER Ambassador carrying that banner supporting and promoting a platform that inspires, encourages and empowers female arcHERs of all ages and skill levels to embrace the female spirit of arcHER!” #dowhatyouloveandlovewhatyoudo

Meg Curtis | Owensboro, Kentucky

“I got my first bow when I was five years old and I’ve been shooting ever since. I began shooting competitions when I was eight years old. From the first time I ever shot a bow, I fell in love with it. However, it was nothing compared to how much I fell in love with the competitions themselves. There really isn’t anything better than the family-like atmosphere of the archery world. I am honored to be a part of the arcHER Ambassador 2020 Team and look forward to sharing my passion of archery with other female shooters.”

Regilyn Johnson | Forsyth, Georgia

“I have been shooting for seven years, the first two years I just bowhunted and then I began shooting competitively. I absolutely love archery. I call it my happy place, and it truly is. I started shooting because my kids were shooting and I just fell in love with it. I love that we can all get out in the yard together and shoot 3D or go to an indoor range and shoot together. I have made lifelong friends through this sport and I love that my fellow competitors are always willing to help and cheer one another on even though we are competing against one another.
arcHER to me means sharing an awesome sport with my competitors but also introducing women to the sport that have never even considered shooting a bow. I recently sold one of my bows to a coworker and she has fallen in love and now two of her children are also shooting, that is arcHER!! I’m honored and excited to be a part of the 2020 arcHER Ambassador team!”

Alyssa Sturgill | Wise, Virginia

“Hey y’all I am Alyssa Sturgill! I have been into archery for the last four years and it has been the best thing that has ever happened to me! One of my favorite parts of archery is the people, the people in archery are the most kind and inspirational people I have ever met. Archery has impacted my life in so many ways and I could not be more thankful for all the opportunities it has given me. I am so excited to be an arcHER ambassador for 2020 and see y’all on the range!”

Robin East | Dadeville, Alabama

My family has always bow hunted and shot 3-D competitions and I have really enjoyed learning to shoot and competing. I learned to shoot with a compound bow, but due to medical issues I had to stop shooting. In 2011, I began shooting a crossbow and started competing in both ASA and IBO tournaments. Shooting a crossbow gave me the opportunity to shoot and compete again.

Last season brought big changes to my archery career. While I will always have a love for the crossbow, I began working slowly to see if I could shoot a compound again. I worked slowly and shot a few indoor and local events. At ASA Augusta 2018, I made the change to the compound class. I may not always finish in the lead, but I strive to improve with every shot.

One of the best things about archery and competitions, in my opinion, is the relationships I have made with the other shooters and competitors. Everyone has been so helpful in teaching me how to shoot, and how to improve my shooting skills. I enjoy talking with others and sharing with them my love of archery. And I hope that I can encourage and inspire others in any way I can. As an arcHER Ambassador, I am passionate about sharing my love of the sport, encouraging others and working with kids, youth and young adults to help inspire them to become better archers!”

Sammy Price | Galena, Ohio

“I picked up my first bow on my sixth birthday and I haven’t been able to put one down since. At seven years old, I started shooting competitions and that’s where my journey began. I fell in love with the sport from the very start, but I had no idea what it had in store for me. Shooting bows has always been fun, but the people I’ve met and the friends I’ve made will stick with me forever. The archery family and atmosphere is truly irreplaceable. So many people, women especially, have helped get me to where I am today, and I am so excited to pay that forward. I love how the women in archery support each other, and I am looking forward to being a bigger part of that with the help of arcHER. I am so excited and honored to be a part of the 2020 arcHER Ambassador team!

Jennifer Holton | Gregory, Michigan

“My name is Jennifer Holton; I have been married to my husband Carl for 20+ years. I have three wonderful children, two of which have become adults and the last one is still in Middle school. I started shooting competitive archery in 2009 after attending my first National ASA in Gainesville FL. It was February in Michigan, we had just about a foot of snow come down and my husband was geared up to shoot his first National ASA. I asked my mom to stay with the kids and headed to Florida with my husband. He was insistent that I bring my bow with me and I was insistent that I needed sunshine and warm weather. I was so surprised walking into my first national event, that by Saturday morning I was interested in competing in Women’s Hunter. I had so much fun shooting that first event that I came home, purchased a newer bow and started spending hours practicing. My love for archery began then.

During the 2019 National ASA season I moved to Women’s Open A, which I found to be more enjoyable than shooting the known distance categories with plans of continuing in the Women’s Open A for the 2020 season. I am excited to be an Archer Ambassador and look forward to a great 2020 season. “

Darlene Fugett | Paris, Texas

“Hey y’all, I’m Darlene from Paris, Texas. I am honored to be chosen as a 2020 arcHER Ambassador. I was introduced to archery in 2016 after my youngest child went off to college. A friend invited me to a local tournament and I have been passionate about it ever since. For me, archery has the same effect whether I am sitting in a tree stand all alone hunting or focusing on a javelina target at 40 yards. It doesn’t matter if I miss that buck or javelina, the fact that I possess the ability, desire and skill to hunt and compete fills my soul with happiness. My goal as an arcHER Ambassador is to spark interest in this sport so that other girls and women may feel the same passion. I strive to be a positive role model for all women by showing integrity, positivity and kindness on and off the range. Meeting people and making friends all around the world is an added bonus. Let’s go shoot some stuff!!

FloAnn Gleason | Jacksonville, Florida

“I have been married to Russ Gleason since 2006 and we have four children, two girls and two boys with five grandchildren. I am active in various archery programs including the Archery Shooters Association (ASA), USA, S3DA and Traditional Bow Hunters of Florida (TBOF) along with volunteering for Girl Scouts of America, where I work to give back to the community with girls to get their badges for archery.

I was introduced to archery in the summer of 2012 by my husband. I began shooting a compound bow as practice for hunting, but the love I have for the sport has turned into much more. In January 2019 I switched to a traditional bow set up to show that archery can be a family sport to get everyone involved and have fun and enjoy the outdoors together. Being versatile with different bows allows us to teach and promote what fits for the family as a whole or for the child that the parents can enjoy watching him/her shoot.

In 2014, I began as an S3DA Basic Instructor so when I attended local shoots I could help with the children and any newcomers to the sport. In 2017, I created a S3DA team out of Fort Caroline Archery Club. In 2019 we have grown our archery team from 5 to 28 and looking to grow the sport in Florida. I accepted a position as the Florida State Coordinator for S3DA in 2018. I have worked with many children over the past few years and seeing a child’s expression when they hold a bow, draw back an arrow, and hit the target is priceless. I feel that I am extremely blessed to have the opportunity to share my hobby and love for archery with others. I look forward to growing the sport and sharing my love for archery with anyone, young or old, new or experienced.

I never thought that my passion for the outdoors would lead to teaching children, and their parents in the community the same love for the outdoors, discipline, sportsmanship, leadership and confidence that I learned from the archery community. So many kids do not do well with team sports, but individual sports give them a place to shine. Being able to draw the string back and shoot an arrow right into the target on one’s own gives a child a great sense of accomplishment at having done this thing themselves. I love being a part of that and look forward to serving as a 2020 arcHER Ambassador to help continue to grow the sport I love!

Hannah Dickerson | Brookhaven, Mississippi

“My name is Hannah Dickerson and I am 21 years old. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and currently in a Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) class. I have been shooting archery for four years now. I am also the first in my family to shoot any type of archery. My family has been very supportive, encouraging and are always ready for the next adventure. We have traveled all over the United State shooting several different types of archery competitions including Field, Indoor and 3D Archery. This has allowed me to see so many new places, meet new people and making life-long archery friends, or as I like to call them family. I never thought that archery would play such an important role in my life and I couldn’t be more pleased about discovering this wonderful sport. I have learned a lot about this sport in the last few years and I can’t wait to pay it forward as an arcHER Ambassador for the 2020 season.

EJ Weisenbach | Mt. George, Arkansas

In 2018, arcHER added EJ Weisenbach to our staff and we are grateful to have him as a part of our team. EJ’s family is heavily involved in archery and he loves cheering on his brother, Noah as well as others on the range. EJ has become a vital part of arcHER and always has a word of encouragement or just a high five to make your day on the range great! EJ brings so much happiness and excitement to the Women’s Pro Range as he assists with the Pro Scoreboard. His quick wit and jokes help keep the atmosphere light and fun for all! We are excited to keep him aboard for the 2020 season!
